About The Artist

James Crouch - Few artists can rival the standards of excellence achieved by Master Artist James Crouch. His works are a culmination and a reflection of over 35 years of artistic and creative achievement as well as a great wealth of varied professional experience.

His love of music and art started at an early age. Drawing and painting came naturally to James and was always central in his life. In school he drew and painted his Rock n Roll heroes and sold them to schoolmates for extra pocket money. At the early age of nineteen, he was painting large scale murals in Hollywood and working for rock impresario Bill Gazzarri on the Sunset Strip. James also painted marquees and artist billboards at the Rainbow and the Whiskey a GO-GO, as well as the infamous Wall of Fame murals at Gazzarri’s on the Strip.

As the music scene was surging in Los Angeles in the mid-eighties, James also designed logos, backdrops and stage props for many bands of the day, including Guns n Roses, Motley Crue & Ratt to name a few.

As his reputation grew, James landed jobs painting giant Las Vegas show marquees and various large scale murals in the greater Los Angeles area, all the while honing his talents.

After many trials and tribulations in the business of large scale billboard art, (namely the incarnation of the large scale digital media printer), James eventually found himself working for the Walt Disney Company as a scenic artist.

Currently, James is a Walt Disney Imagineer who has overseen creative endeavors all over the world for Disney, including projects in Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong. James also contributes his talents by creating original and limited edition works of art for the Disney Galleries at Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida.

James has turned his personal artistic passion back to his roots, creating timeless moments of Rock n Roll’s greatest pioneers and legends. His love of music and the enduring artists that helped shape and inspire his world are captured as only he could.
