Introducing the Ashburn HH from John Page Classic
- Featuring Bloodline® by John Page JP-2 Dual Humbuckers
Born of the same custom design genius that made the Ashburn single coil guitar a Guitar Player Magazine Hall of Fame winner, the Ashburn HH comes in exciting new colors that celebrate its exciting new tone.
- The Designer’s Vision
“A fatter, beefier, humbucking tone, the styling of the original Ashburn, a more contemporary tremolo and a custom aesthetic. That’s all I wanted – and what I set out to create when I designed the new Ashburn HH!
It’s a double humbucking guitar that has the richness, clarity, playability and ‘uniquely familiar’ aesthetic that makes it right at home in the John Page Classic family and my 40 year plus body of work.
The HH body styling and material (alder) is the same as my original (single coil) Ashburn, and the maple neck (with maple or rosewood fretboard) is a hearty medium C shape with a 12” radius, 1.69” nut and medium jumbo frets. The HH features two of my new Bloodline® JP-2 pickups, to give the richness and power of a humbucker while still retaining clarity and definition … and a little sparkle on top too! It utilizes a Gotoh 510T-FE1 two point tremolo, which when combined with the Gotoh staggered locking tuners allows for a more extreme playing style with excellent return to pitch!
The mass of the neck, the tonal qualities of the alder body, my over-sized machine bolt neck fastening system, the pickups, bridge and keys, all work together to make an amazingly powerful but articulate, musical instrument. I complemented the attractive lines with more custom features like a parchment pearloid pickguard, shorty chrome dome knobs, and some custom colors – to take it even further into the custom realm. Welcome to the John Page Classic version of the perfect contemporary (but timeless) humbucking guitar!” John Page
