This Gibson ES-335 1959 Flame Top Reissue is part of the private collection of Billie Joe Armstrong.

The Gibson ES-335 was introduced in 1958 and has remained in production in various forms ever since as one of the company’s most iconic models. Starting in 1981, the model was referred to as the ES-335 Dot in reference to its use of dot inlays like the original models from the late ‘50s.

In 1990, it was renamed the ES-335 Reissue.

This 1996 Flame Top Gibson ES-335 1959 reissue with dot inlay is a killer piece in Billie’s shop.

This guitar sounds excellent and was used significantly. Light overall marks and a couple dings on the top and back. There is 1 large scratch on the back. Overall, some general players wear. These issues, of course, do not effect the guitars sound or performance.

All of that said, this guitar sounds great. There are no further issues, aside from the aforementioned, to be seen or heard. We have done our best to capture any imperfections of this instrument through our photography here on the site. Includes original strap and wiring harness. Please enjoy.
