1959 was a pivotal year in the annals of Stratocaster history. It was the first year that modern features, such as rosewood fingerboards and the now-iconic 3-Color Sunburst finish made their initial appearance. The Vintage Custom 1959 Stratocaster sports both a slab rosewood fingerboard and a sumptuous chocolate 3-Color Sunburst finish, as well as some other cool and rare features from the Stratocaster’s formative years. The flash-coat lacquer finish lets the guitar breathe more freely and organically for singing sustain and warm tone. The neck features a vintage 9.5” compound radius, which we found on some rare examples, giving it a unique feel even among vintage-inspired models. It also features medium vintage frets, which are slightly larger than regular vintage and very comfortable to play.

This limited edition Fender Custom Shop ‘59 Stratocaster is a classic recreation from an iconic era in Fender’s history. With a NOS (New Old Stock) lacquer finish and beautiful 3-Colour Chocolate Sunburst and incredible AAA Flame Maple neck, it looks as incredible as it sounds. It is equipped with Hand-Wound Texas Special pickups with RWRP Middle, and features Vintage Modified #2 Wiring with Tone-Saver Bleed.
