DESCRIPTION
Fender CEO Andy Mooney World Stamps Collection Telecaster (LA Wildfire Relief) US20033865 Republic of Korea (ROK) 8.15 LBS
FROM FENDER:
Fender is donating a portion of each sale from the Stamp Collection Guitars to the LA Wildfire Relief fund.
From the Imagine Collection, developed by Andy Mooney (Fender CEO), this series blends Andy’s love for guitars and stamps. Each guitar incorporates approximately 100 stamps, with around 20,000 stamps used across the entire collection. All models are Telecasters, featuring the same color, pickups, and fully functional, playable designs.
Andy collaborated with his daughter, Rose Mooney, on this project. Rose designed a unique neckplate symbolizing peace, featuring a simple flower graphic, which is present on all 195 country guitars.
FROM ANDY MOONEY, CEO FENDER MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS:
We immigrated to the U.S. in 1984. I only brought two things with me—an acoustic guitar from my father (Fender, of course) and the stamp collection we worked on together.
On a whim, I took some of my UK stamps and made a guitar out of them. People loved it, so I kept picking different countries, and as interest in the collection grew, I decided—somewhat whimsically—to cover every country in the world.
I wanted to involve my daughter, Rose, in the project, so I asked her to design a neckplate symbolizing peace. I expected her to choose a traditional dove icon, but instead, she created a simple flower graphic. That design is featured on all 195 country guitars.
Each guitar takes about 100 stamps, totaling 20,000 stamps in the collection. They are all Telecasters, sharing the same color, pickups, and full tonal functionality.
People often ask me what I want to call this collection, and the best word I can think of is the IMAGINE COLLECTION, inspired by John Lennon’s dream. I hope that, 25 years from now, everyone who owns one of these guitars can come together, shake hands, and not be at war with each other. That would be a dream come true.
