The Modern T combines the 24 fret neck and sculpted heel joint of our Modern with the body shape of our Classic T, improving player comfort at the upper frets while preserving a more traditional design aesthetic.

Equipped with our Modern Elliptical neck profile, rolled fingerboard edges and a 10″-14″ compound fingerboard radius. The African Okoume neck is finished in satin acrylic urethane, which provides the smooth feel of natural wood as well as protection from moisture

The Modern Elliptical neck is a fast and sleek shape with enough girth for you to really grab onto when you want to dig in for wild string bends or playing chords.

FRETS

HEAVY STAINLESS STEEL (.051″ x .108″)
Stainless steel frets offer silky smooth bending and long-lasting playability. Every Suhr receives a PLEK fret dress, ensuring the best possible string action, playability and intonation.

SCULPTED HEEL

The sculpted heel of the Modern allows for easy access to all 24 frets. For optimum tone and stability, the neck joint must not be too tight or too loose, therefore all of our neck pockets are precisely fitted by hand, by expert craftsmen.

MODERN T BODY SHAPE

The Modern T Satin utilizes African Okoume for both the body and the neck along with a 3/16″ flame maple top, resulting in an extremely responsive instrument that reacts to the subtlest dynamics.

TONE WOODS

African Okoume has pleasant highs, strong mids, and balanced lows which makes it a popular choice among rock players for its thick, focused tone that cuts well in a mix. It’s slightly brighter and more open than traditional Mahogany.

BODY FINISH

Great care is taken to ensure that the thinnest possible layers of finish are applied. Our finishing process provides an unparalleled combination of protection, beauty, and tone. This allows the wood to resonate freely while still providing ample protection.

SCRAPED BINDING

Scraped binding allows for the natural maple to be seen along the edge of the top wood. This painstaking and detailed process accentuates the beauty of the body shape and adds elegance to the design.

HARDWARE & ELECTRONICS

Equipped with Suhr SSH+ and SSV pickups and a 5-way selector switch, the Modern T Pro offers guitarists a wide array of humbucking and single coil tones; from high gain shred to glassy cleans. The Modern T Pro is a high performance workhorse with classic roots.

GOTOH 510

The Gotoh 510 tremolo bridge features dual steel knife edge pivot points to provide greater functionality and years of trouble free performance.

PICKUP CONFIGURATION

One of our most popular pickup configurations, the SSH+ bridge and SSV neck pickups produce a sound that is clear, with excellent harmonics and a strong midrange.

SUHR LOCKING TUNERS

Equipped with staggered Suhr Locking Tuners, which provide an 18:1 gear ratio, improved tuning stability, and no need for a traditional string tree.
