Here is an homage to one of the most famous James Tyler guitars ever built. The original “Puffy” was the 8th official James Tyler Studio Elite ever built. It was owned and used by Steve Lukather, most notably on Toto’s album The Seventh One. (disclaimer: Steve does not use or endorse James Tyler Guitars today)
Steve Lukather order a James Tyler made instrument, named “Puffy”, delivered in 1988 in time for the Toto recording ” The Seventh One”. The guitar was featured heavily during that session, being used for ‘Stop Loving You’ and ‘1000 Years”, with Steve also using for that world tour with Toto to support that release. Steve has also used the guitar for several other recordings, tours and has been featured in several guitar magazines articles. With James Tyler modern electronics and attention to craftsmanship regarding the bodies and necks of these instruments, with their distinctive finish, these instruments can express your musical vision.
