Handcrafted in Southern California by the expert luthiers at the ESP USA facility, the Eclipse USA is a single-cutaway guitar that’s designed for serious players in all genres. It features a full-thickness mahogany body (60mm / 2 3/8”), strategically weight relieved. It is built at classic 24.75” scale using set-thru construction for smooth access to the higher frets, using a three-piece thin U-shaped mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard with 22 extra-jumbo Jescar stainless steel frets and mother-of-pearl split-flag inlays.

The Eclipse USA can be personalized with choices in finishes, top woods (solid color, flamed maple, or quilted maple), pickups, and hardware. Built to go beyond the highest standards in custom guitar design, the Eclipse USA offers only the best in components and build materials. It includes a custom ESP USA form-fitting hardshell case, and an official Certificate of Authenticity from ESP.

• Graphite Neck Reinforcement Bars

Get maximum strength and stability from your guitar’s neck, with higher long-term reliability. All ESP USA models are made with two high-strength bars of carbon fiber.

• Weight Relieved Body

The ESP USA Eclipse offers a traditional full-thickness body, but is strategically weight-relieved so the guitar remains comfortable and noticeably lighter than most classic single-cut body style guitars.

• Full Thickness Carved Top w/ Natural Masked Binding

All Eclipse USA models feature over a half inch of carved maple in their tops, and many models also include natural masked binding to highlight the exquisite top.

EMG 81X

With the added dynamic control of the X Series preamp, the 81X takes the classic 81 to a new level of tone. Utilizing powerful ceramic & steel magnets and close aperture coils, the tone was designed with detailed intensity, incredible amounts of high end cut, and fluid sustain.

Traditionally used in the bridge position of your guitar, this humbucking pickup will make your leads slice right through even the densest mix. When used in both neck and bridge positions the sound can only be described as blistering. Other recommended pairings include the classic 81X/85X setup and the versatile 81X/60X combo. EMG’s solderless installation makes swapping your guitar pickups easier than ever.

The X series preamp gives the pickup a more dynamic range along with increased headroom while keeping the more traditional string-to-string balance. X series pickups also come with an Active Tone Control (VLPF) designed to roll-off (attenuate) high frequencies, similar to a typical passive tone control. The result is a noiseless guitar pickup with a classic EMG sound that bridges the gap between active and passive.

EMG 85X

The 85X has an organic and open voice thanks to the added headroom and response known to the EMG X Series. Featuring close aperture coils loaded with Alnico V magnets, the 85X is a powerful guitar pickup with exceptional tone and versatility. The Alnico magnets of this model provide a muscular growl and smooth lead tones enabling you to play everything from the blues to the most extreme metal.

Although often used in the neck position, make no mistake, the EMG 85X sounds great as a bridge humbucker thanks to its exceptional smoothness and soul. This pickup pairs well with just about every other pickup in our line and using our solderless system, it makes changing your tone easier than ever.
